The fact that you said something insane that looks vaguely like part of it might happen doesn't make you anything close to a prognosticator. It just so happens that reality is almost as bad as your pipe dreams.

Probably fits better here than the sulfur mine due to the short yet elegant simplicity.

Historically, the people who argue for "states' rights" fit into two main categories:

1) Whichever party lost the last presidential election
2) Racists

I'll agree that states' rights in theory has nothing to do with racism, but its naive to suggest that there is no connection between the two.

FF, as they understand how left-wing goals are actually accomplished in this country.

By voting for a party whose mainstream has not been remotely leftist in 40 years?

The Democratic party has done a heck of a lot more for the causes of economic and social equality and justice in the past 40 years than Kshama Sawant and co. could ever hope to achieve.

The odds of Clinton losing the Democratic nomination are probably not much higher than the actuarial odds that a woman of her age will die or have a stroke within the next 18 months.

There isn't some magical force that guides the natural flow of elections to match a "cycle". This discussion is all hogwash.

The entire country is pretty much Republican. The most watched news network is Fox. The most listened to talk radio show is Rush Limbaugh. There are 50 Governors, only 18 of them are Democrats. The Republicans just gained more seats in the House and Senate than they have had in decades.

The entire country is pretty much Republican, which is why the Republicans haven't comfortably won a presidential election since 1988! It all makes sense now.

Hypothetical Soviet Bushie would just be an over-the-top devout communist instead of an over-the-top devout Christian.

I still haven't been shown one shred of evidence that Hillary Clinton is not liberal. The narrative is entirely built around (1) her voting for the Iraq War, which other famous Dems like Biden, Kerry, Schumer, and Edwards did as well without criticism and (2) her accepting donations from Wall Street, which Obama and near every Democrat does in some form.

There's not one political position she holds that you can bring up and say, wow, that's from the Republican platform.

The guy came into fame because he called BS on all the pundits who were doing their little pundit BS and got straight to the numbers. Now he's become what he hates - a know nothing pundit.

Why in god's name would racists hate Bernie more than Hillary? I'm pretty sure they'd hate the person who served under the first black president and is winning mainly based off heavy support from minorities more.

Your stereotypical racist obviously supports the Jew demanding more welfare, supporting Black Lives Matter, and calling out Republicans for cutting services and taxes.

Uh, Hillary does all those things as well (besides being a Jew), on top of being given power by people who they don't even think should be allowed to vote.

And nobody's saying racists LIKE Sanders, it's saying who they hate more.

The biggest fallacy of this election is that "ordinary Americans" are some white people living in some small town in Kentucky or Maine or Kansas.

This also goes for the past two elections, at least...

Why not, considering that it is just not true? Don't let RINO Tom fool you with his posturing - Obama won the college-educated vote both times. Everyone wants to pretend like their side is "smarter" - as in most issues (climate change, voter suppression, etc.), actual statistics back up our side.
RINO Tom desperately clings to this romantic notion that the GOP is a bourgeois party primarily made up of North Shore Episcopalians and their counterparts around the country, when the party's footsoldiers have long been white Evangelicals and the culturally conservative working-class, who he sees as Jesus freaks and racists who belong in the Democratic Party.

Julian Assange may bury her yet.

When all your remaining hope remains with a pasty weirdo who literally hasn't left a building in four years because the cops are waiting outside to arrest him for rape, you might just be grasping at straws at this point.

"Values voters" don't care about extramarital affairs, inactive church attendance, or lack of charitable giving. Such self-identified voters want right wing social policies enacted and don't care if their candidate is as personally decedent as a Borgia.

Dear lord, how can anyone call Mitt Romney, Marco Rubio or John Kasich RINOs but then go on and say that Trump is a true conservative?

Because for some people on the right the measure of how conservative someone is is defined by how willing they are to openly display hatred for President Obama. Trump wins that in a rout.

It is rather annoying the implication that because one is white and working-class, it gives them some kind of justifiable, understandable reason to be a racist idiot.

As my West Virginian Democrat neighbor put it, for the last eight years, all he ever heard from all our idiot neighbors was "n****r this, and n****r that." For the next eight years they'll just switch to "b***h this, b****h that."

Really speaks to how deranged and hateful the sexist press's vendetta against Hillary Clinton is that they turned a charitable foundation that has helped tens of millions of the world's poorest people into a scandal.
