I think the premise is this thread is not good but I do love seeing this poster get shat on so I will make an exception.

Guys, if Bernie had beaten Hillary, it would have been one of the greatest upsets in history. Hillary would have been utterly humiliated - again, and at the hands of the party that ostensibly supports women's rights. If not wanting our politics to become misogynistic torture porn writ large makes me an objectively bad person, so be it. But I do not think God created woman just so that she could be shat on.

"Identity Politics" is a word used by conservatives and reactionary people to denigrate and delegitimize causes and issues that are not about them. Even though most "identity politics issues" affect EVERYONE, white men and conservatives don't wanna hear it if it's framed around black trans people or disabled people, since y'all seem to think it cheapens the issue, since, well, y'all are reactionary.

Are you saying that one has to be a staunch ideologue? This "either you're with us, or you're against us" mentality could be the avenue to violence and war.

I’m saying that whatever the “moderate, centrist” position is on caging children in abandoned Walmarts while their parents are deported hundreds of miles away, is still dangerously unacceptable.
