I used to think the forum would be hugely better off without him.

Well, quite a number of people promised to leave if he was banned, but then reneged on their promise.

The only ones who basically did were Lewis (for whom the forum is FAR worse off without) and seatown (who was a terrible poster the forum is better off without) And I'd be willing to put up with seatown if it meant we had both opebo and Lewis still, both clearly top tier posters.

Also for the newbies: Lewis was probably the single best electoral analyst the site ever had, and seatown was like Snowstalker but somehow even dumber, if you can imagine that.

Tweed made a great point when he pointed out that any of the posts accusing opebo of being a pedophile would be deleted and heavily infracted if you replaced "opebo" in them with the name of any other member.

Also in regards to the advertisers not liking the links that were posted, let me pose the following scenario:

I demand that krazen be banned and state that if he isn't I'm going to post hardcore pornography on the forum. He isn't, so I start posting hardcore porn. The ad company finds out and sends a notice to Dave in regards to this, so to get me to stop krazen is banned.

Because the equivalent of that is basically what happened.

You came here after dazzleman, but he actually made sexual comments about underage girls, and there was a mass outrage when someone called him a pedophile.
