To add to Trumans concerns some children aren't that good of an athlete and would rather not do sports but rather do other activities whether it's the arts, student government, service, music or any other thing it puts sports to a large part of your day and the child will not have time to do things of his interest. Also why should the government force somebody to play something.

Veto. I like the bill, but after giving a little thought, it probably should have some provision that provides a waiver for kids who have preexisting medical conditions and such.

This probably isn't the best choice, especially since it's about a very specific place, but I really like New York so yeah....

I think that providing childcare will do a lot to increase economic mobility in our region.

I philosophically support the Children in Sports Act, so I've offered a version of it that adds some things, changes some things, and offers the possibility of exemptions.

I strongly support the training of the body as well as the mind; I see no reason whatsoever why phys. ed. and phys. ed. requirements should not exist in school.

The list is extensive enough that if someone wanted to run three days a week out on the track (instead of playing soccer or whatever), that would be permitted. What the bill is aiming for is activity.

Thanks to those Senators who supported me. I'm quite disappointed, but I hope to have an active voice in the convention process regardless.

I do agree with this, and I think your revision is something that I could support.

2. Article VIII shall be struck from the Northeast Constitution.

3. A new Article shall be appended to the Northeast Constitution, reading as follows:

((the last bill obviously needs a ratification vote, not a signature, and the second shouldn't require any further action at all))

If you read the Assembly debate, you can probably tell that I'm not very happy with the new vote, mostly b/c I feel it doesn't have the mandate protections of the old one, but whatever.

I see the Northeast is still debating stupid things like the beverage act.

When oh when will it ever end?

Chicago, IL

I think this is the first time I've left the Northeast in some time... In face of the surprising and disappointing resignation of Kalwejt, I've decided to take my chance and run for the open at-large Senate seat. I'm still a somewhat new player, so I'm not affected by the numerous old feuds that seem to constantly take Atlasia by storm. (Witness the ridiculous fight over the RG last week.) I've also been a supporter of ideas like consolidation and greater regional power, and hope to expand on that later on in this campaign. I still feel optimistic that Atlasia can succeed again, and that together, we can lead Atlasia into a better era.

Good luck, Governor.

Speaking of, are you still running for reelection in October, or will it just be me and Clyde?

If all goes well with this, probably not.

Governor,

Would you be willing to accept a debate for the open senate seat starting as soon as a moderator can be found?

I'd also co moderate if allowed so we can have a even balance of support on different issues so it's not skewed to one side, if thats fine with Evergreen and the candidates.
