This is actually a very interesting matchup.
Duke's ideological position is much too vague IMO.
It's not an ideological matchup, it's a matchup a forum culture. Duke is the fratboy, Madeline the asexual. 
Duke is an Update fan, Madeline likes to talk theology and Japanese literature. And so on. Who gives a sh*t about ideology anyway.
Meh, I didn't see Duke as the typical forum frat boy. But to be honest I don't know him very well.
I think he's literally a fratboy.
In a relatively good way though, I'll grant that.
