Hehe.

I understand where this proposal is coming from, but I think it makes the game fun to let the senate hold things up.

I am not supportive of this proposal, as I don't believe we should award the Speaker with an extra vote. That would make him the one officeholder in all of Atlasia with more than one vote in a voting process.

Yea, granting a duplicate vote is not the answer to this problem.

I dont support the current proposal. I understand why TNF introduced that, but I believe It would create just other problems (ie senators could block the nomination in order to let the speaker have 2 votes).

I have an idea of amendment that might satisfy everyone.

Yeah, one of the main benefits of the recent reforms to the senate is the speaker is an unambiguously non partisan office, and I think we should keep it like that.

It's worth noting though that this was introduced more than 6 months ago, so this wouldn't have been TNF's intent.

Overturning the Court ruling against him is what I'd assume TNF's intent would be.

If I remember correctly, the position of PPT was abolished. I'm right?

Yes. I'm right. It passed.
So we can't approve an amendment on a position that does not exist.
Also I don't like the proposal.

Well, given that this proposed a long time ago and the problem it aims to correct no longer exists, I propose we table this amendment and move on to more pressing business.

Senators have 36 hours to assume sponsorship, or this shall be tabled.
