Oh, I don't think anyone here expects him to embrace any change in lifestyle at all. I know I dont! Even switching to whole wheat bread is something he's unwilling to do. I know he won't give up bread entirely.

You can't diet and have a cheat meal every 4 days (or everyday, since I don't consider burgers without fries part of a diet unless he had the burger wrapped in lettuce).

There's a wide variety of all ethnicities.  I live in a part of town that has a lot of Asians from China, Japan, Korea, etc.  We have two or three big Asian supermarkets around here, one of them right around the corner from where I live.  Several of the small businesses and gas stations within a 3 square mile radius or so are owned by such Asians.  We do have Hispanics, blacks, and whites.

I live on the eastern edge of the urban area of Tulsa.  Less than a mile to my east and it turns more rural with a lot more trees, two-lane roads, and slightly higher speed limits.  The church I attend is in that type of environment being 5 miles to my northeast.

I think he already has. He's rightfully ignoring any post about a diet. Let's just drop it now. We know its not going anywhere. Whenever he says "I'm going to get serious about my health" again, we should ignore it too.

The interview today didn't turn up anything other than the promise to help me look.  I was very distraught and very discouraged.  At 1600 this evening, I found a recruiter in Oklahoma City who wants to talk to me this Monday at 1100 and then right after that I got call and I have an interview with an actual company tomorrow at 1300.  That is two things in the next 5 days.  I will be going down to my parents on Friday for the weekend and come back Monday evening after the interview.

Add to the two live interviews a phone interview with one of those help desk jobs I have been in contact with.  The phone interview is at 1600 tomorrow, so I will have to make it quick at the interview earlier in the day.
