Warren -14 in VA means an electoral map where she is the nominee will be Kerryesque aka a losing map.

Indeed.  My staunch GOP friends all agree that a Warren nomination would be awesome for the party.

I personally, as a somewhat conservative moderate who's not a huge fan of most of the GOP, would LOVE to see Webb win the nomination, even though it almost certainly would never happen.

Virginia is pretty inelastic, helps Dems a ton in a close race as the GOP should find it impossible without inroads around DC. That said, Clinton wont persuade white voters as easily as she might in PA, WI, OH so her margins might be smaller than her national number in a blowout.

My thoughts exactly. Apparently seeing them up, close and personal everyday has made Virginians extremely cynical.

The negative rating for Hillary before any the ads have even started is concerning.

Because there will be no negative ads against the Republican nominee I suppose.

Rand's approval rating in VA seems much worse than it is in most states........did the gov't shutdown kill his image there or something?

As for approval ratings here, Walker/Hillary look the best and in my opinion will likely be the nominees.

Warren -14 in VA means an electoral map where she is the nominee will be Kerryesque aka a losing map.

There's a large normally left-leaning $100K+ demographic in VA that would be very suspicious of her.  It would probably be one of her worst swing states.  The parties normally have very hard floors around 44-45% in VA, but if you scare the wealthy moderates, you can't win.

Government employees and contractors, to a large extent. They are more concerned with income than with taxes.
