Inks is #11, with 35,751, and Tender just knocked him out of the top ten within the last 24 hours.  Lief is #12, with 35,671.  Both Lief and Tender are posting at a much faster pace than Tweed is these days, so Tweed will probably be passed by both of them and knocked out of the top 10 as well within a few months.

Well in 7ish months I will move in with my woman and get a big boy job, so inshallah I will never post here again. But I am confident that with hard work, a positive attitude, and a precision focus on focusing, I can beat Inks before that.

Oh I was under the assumption that we were using this ranking https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?action=mlist;sort=posts;start=0 which excludes opebo because he was banned, you know like with Lance Armstrong and le Tour de France.

Yeah Opebo shouldn't be counted.

How long before Al knocks out Lewis?

About four months.

At present posting rates, Tweed being bumped out of the top ten because both Tender and Lief catch up to him should happen much faster than that.  Perhaps within about a month and a half.

Tender's four posts behind, at 35,818.  However, both Lief and Tender are posting at a much faster rate than Tweed, and between the two of them, they'll probably knock Tweed out of the top 10 within ~1.5 months or thereabouts.

I suspect I've been on that list since within a few days of the genesis of the "New Forum".  that's just a touch short of 11 1/3 years.  

Through the magic of archive.org, we can actually look at what the top ten list looked like in the past.  For example, in June 2006:

At present posting rate, Al will pass Lewis for #2 of all time in about two weeks.

Also, Eraserhead is about two or three weeks from reaching the 40,000 mark.

And Tender Branson is slowly creeping up on Boss Tweed's place in the top 10.  Tender's at 36,465 posts right now, so he should catch up to Tweed in about a month and a half or so.

The earlier number must have been a typo.  I must have typed 46,000 when I meant 47,000.

No, post count can decrease for banned users.  That's not unusual.  All that has to happen is that someone deletes a thread that they posted in.

My friends, Al was up in the #2 slot from very early in this forum's history.  However, some time in the first half of 2007, he lost that 2nd place slot and quickly dropped to 5th, as upstarts like BRTD and Gabu rocketed up through the standings.

Believe it or not, these were the top 5 posters as of June 12, 2007:

Over the years, Al has managed to claw his way back up to #3.  Now he's on the cusp of passing Lewis and reclaiming the #2 spot for the first time in 8 years.  With just a 21 post gap at the moment, Al will most likely make up the difference within the next week.  Tender Branson catching up to Tweed and knocking him out of the top 10 will most likely happen shortly thereafter.

Interesting. It looks like you're stuck on page 2, just about 100 posts ahead of me, Mr. Morden.

Well, a few new people will be moving on to page 1 one of these days.  A18 is soon to fall off onto page 2.  He really did have an incredible run, racking up ~20,000 posts in less than 18 months from August 2004 to early 2006.  If he'd kept posting at that rate for another five years, he'd be well ahead of BRTD.  But instead, he just slowed down to a trickle and then stopped.
