This is actually a complete non-story, the cables don't contradict Bibi, and the Mosssad isn't going around contradicting Bibi with secret info to random foreign agencies like the SSA.

Obama basically told Netanyahu he could go ahead and bomb Iran back in like, what? 2009? When Biden was on the Meet the Press or something and was like "Israeli is their own country, they can do whatever they want to do, we don't comment on that."

Netanyahu didn't do it though because he doesn't actually want to go to war with Iran. He just wants to use them to drum up political support.

I'm pretty sure Netanyahu would have exposed that publicly if that was the case. A threat by the US President to essentially declare war on an ally would potentially be enough to topple that President.

I really doubt it happened. The only places I can find references to it are on right-wing Israeli sites that are taking it from a sketchy Kuwaiti newspaper.
