It's also ridiculous that Ireland with Molly Sterling was eliminated in the semis.
Agreed - it was one of the few songs that wasn't out of key.

I think Sweden will win it tonight.

I know how Eurovision works.

But they're getting big votes from everywhere.
They always do - as there are Russians all over Europe. They just vote for themselves in the country where they live...

Sweden win. Deserved, they were good.
They were.

We only got five points. Sad

We should enter our own Scottish entry - we might do better...

2 countries ranked us 11th (which still means no points, because only #1-10 get them):

Latvia and Switzerland
Australia ranked us (seems odd saying "us" for the UK - I campaigned for Scottish Independence...) 11th. I don't know about anyone else.

Surprised San Marino have the UK three points though.

Maybe we received 0 votes because of Conchita-overkill ... Tongue

Otherwise I don't have an explanation for it.
Trying to explain what gender she was to my [19-year-old] sister took some time... Tongue

Man Eurovision sucks. All these songs I'm hearing are terrible.

Why is there never any good DIY scene music at Eurovision? Has there ever been a hardcore, post-hardcore, (real) emo, pop-punk, post-rock, etc. song there submitted by any country?
This sort of thing?

Um, no. That's also awful and it sounds like AC/DC or something.

I'm talking like this (Germany) or this (France) or this (Italy) or this(Norway).
No - Europe wouldn't vote for those sort of songs.
