Well, he's corrupt, spiteful, and... uh, I forgot the third thing.

Oops.

Seems like a nice and well meaning guy, so lean personal FF but overwhelmingly negative political HP.

My opinion mostly neutral. On his own merits he's an HP, but compared to the likes of Greg Abbott and Dan Patrick especially - he's a huge FF.

Rick Perry's phony image may actually be better than what he really is. HP. Nevertheless, I'd probably vote for him over Hillary Clinton.

I like that speech he made in New Hampshire where he was completely wasted.

HP. Why do add Hillary Clinton in all of your polls?

That was the best thing that happened in all of 2011. Rick Perry + Pain Pills = National Treasure.

In 2012, I viewed him as a really awful human being who ruled like a tyrant. He was the only thing worse than Romney in my mind.

Then he campaigned and I realized he was not as strong and malicious as he seemed. Mediocre views and a lightweight who was just trying to fit in. Felt bad for him.

Then he added the really nice glasses, and they're just so darn convincing.

Still HP, but I think he barely passes Clinton for me. Definitely ahead of the Cruz/Bush/Bolton bunch and probably a few more.

He's like Ted Cruz. Very useful for Texas. Completely useless as the sole executor.

When you get to the White House, you no longer have a big bad government to rail against. You're it, and Congress isn't going to stand behind you, if you pummel them mercilessly.
