I'm not a Democrat, but Clark/Bayh would be my ideal Democratic ticket.

Out of those options, Clark/Bayh is the best ticket.

I think Bayh/Clark would be the better order though.

Clark/Bayh

Pryor, my senator, is a great guy but needs a little more experience before he tries national politics.

I'm not sure Clark is experienced enough to head up a ticket. He'd also be known as the Democrat who failed miserably in 2004.

I'd like to see Bayh/Warner, or really Bayh/Anyone.

Everyone knows Im a Warner fan, but If I had to choose from those options, Id go with Edwards/Pryor.  Possibly, Byah/Seblious.

What about a ...

Warner/Lincoln
Bayh/Lincoln

I would be 100% satisfied with either of those tickets.

Don't you all worry that Clark's lack of experience in government combined with his mediocre showing in 2004 could result in a great GOP punching bag?

Don't bet on it, Alcon.  Clark is fierce when facing Republicans.  I seriously doubt that he would stand to their slander.

Yes I do.  I'd prefer him to run for AR governor first, and give it a while before trying again in 2012 or 2016.  People will have largely forgotten about his 2004 result, but it won't even matter by that point.

Well, calling Clark inexperienced is hardly slander. He's never been an elected official before, and he did not do very well in 2004. He also tends to say some rather stupid things on topics he is not informed on, which, because of his lack of experience, is a lot.

I like the guy, but I'm afraid that he could be a timebomb.

I forget the exact quote, but sometime during the 2004 primary Clark was asked, "How will you respond if someone questions your military experience and patriotism?"... Clark responded, "Ill beat the sh**t out of em'."  I love no bullsh**t politicians.

Yes, that quote entertained me a lot, too, but I'm not sure Mary Goodsuburban, her husband Joe Bluecollar, and their four children in Iowa would like that sort of thing.

It would be better if he were to run for Arkanas gov.
His inexperience very well might be (maybe veep would be better) a problem, but he is pretty tough against reps.  Did any of you know he was the first canditate to say that bush may have been untruthful to the american people about iraq (yes, before dean).

Why do they have different last names?  Do they have Mormons in Iowa? Tongue

If he's elected as Ark gov he's out of 2008 and has to hope for 2012 (or 16 if the Dem wins in 08).  If he loses in Ark, he's done.  How old is he?  He may be losing the battle with old man age by 2016.

Clark is currently 60, so age would indeed become an issue if he ran in 2012 (aged 67) or 2016 (aged 71!!!).
