I kept on thinking that a poll like this was being done by our poster "Senator Cris" but that poll series is on who you think will win.

Instead, this is going to be a poll that lasts for one week. Each month on the 15th there will be a new round. Only official (major) candidates who have announced will be included.

Please vote only if you actually plan to vote for any of these candidates in a GOP primary.

I'll start the Democratic one if there is an additional candidate (lol Chafee) by the next 15th.

Impatient aren't you? Smiley Rubio then. Wonder who voted for Cruz. That would be the hardcore "fringe" as it were around here - must be fraudulent Dem votes, like maybe Eraserhead's. Tongue

I like Rand because of his work on criminal justice reform, ending the War on Drugs, and his support for Gillibrand's bill on sexual assault in the military. I would probably vote for him over HRC.

Rubio is a nightmare. He's an airhead and his policies are pretty much 100% GWB policies but he still gets called 'youthful' or 'fresh'.

1) Rand

And then I don't really see much difference between Rubio and Cruz.

Believe it or not, not every Republican on this forum is some kind of libertarian or moderate hero.  There are social conservatives and Tea Partiers here.  The social conservatives and Tea Partiers might not post much on controversial issues because it makes little sense to pick fights, but we do exist.

Of the three declared candidates, Cruz is closest to what many social conservatives and Tea Partiers view as sharing their values.  Rand Paul is too soft on foreign policy.  Rubio is too soft on immigration.

Rand Paul because Rubio is too establishment and trying to be different (which he isn't) and Cruz is a nutjob who wants to go and bomb foreign countries

There are quite of few Bush fans here but they have been quiet recently
