To be fair, none of the Republicans have an advantage. I'd love to see Hilldawg destroy Rand in the debates, seeing his previous encounters with women reporters.

I've never heard a positive thing said about him by anyone, so I don't see how he is being hyped.

In the primary? Nah, he's seen as being in the top tier with Walker/Paul/Rubio, which he is. He definitely can't be considered any sort of real frontrunner (I currently give him an 80% chance of LOSING the nomination), but he's at or near the top of a very crowded field.

In the general? Yes. Sorry, media goons, but he's not winning CA.

I haven't heard much positive about him either.  The best I've heard people say if "he's better than his brother."

His leading in the polls at the moment is mainly just due to his name recognition. He is still one of the big three candidates alone with Walker and Rubio.
