Amazing to think that Labour and the Tories have an equal number of seats from Scotland in Parliament now.

This is the third election in the past year where I've been disappointed by the results.

As far as I can tell, it's only Clacton. I guess the exit poll thought that they would win either Thurrock. Great Gimsby or South Thanet, but that definitely isn't case in the first two and probably won't be in Farage's constituency. So they are at just 1 at the moment.

There's isn't one.  The result in South Thanet has been delayed for a while because of extremely high turnout.

Trouble with tiny majorities is that they can fall to tiny swings. Oh well.

BALLS LEFT DANGLING FOR HOURS, BEFORE SWINGING AWAY AND THEN GIVEN A KICKING

Amidst the dismal results this morning, Balls losing is one shining light. The unpopularity of the two Ed's crippled the Labour party, they'll both be gone now. Meanwhile this will make it a lot easier for Ball's wife, Yvette Cooper, to win the leadership. She is one of the shining lights of the party but there was the obvious fear that a husband-wife 1-2 would be seen as hugely nepotistic.

Why is Thanet South so slow to declare?  Did they hire a bunch of lazy immigrants to count the votes or something?

Lowest number of Lib Dem seats and votes since 1970.

BBC forecasting CON majority.

Looking at the remaining seats, 323 CON seems to be guaranteed.  Any of the following remaining seats (in decreasing order of likelihood) would put them over the top:

324) Wells
325) Crewe and Nantwich
326) St Ives
327) Berwick-upon-Tweed
328) Thanet South
329) Warwick and Leamington
330) Bedford
331) Derby North
