This seems to be on par with what other pollsters have been saying, a slight/marginal Burr lead against Hagan.

Burr (R) 48%
Hagan (D) 44%

Is Hagan really running here? Surely the Democrats can come up with a better candidate than her.

Since Cowell isn't running, no, they probably can't.

The dream candidate would be McIntyre for the Democrats, but he may not survive a primary.

McIntyre is a republican for all intents and purposes. If he's the nominee, we may as well stick with Burr.

No Republican would be to the left of McIntyre if he was in the Senate, and he wouldn't be any more rightward than Joe Manchin. He'd be very useful to Democrats if he defeated Burr.
