and if someone could give me a background upon where they stand (hot button issues and such), and what their strengths/weaknesses are for 2008.  I see lot of people on this site supporting them, but I don't know all that much.  Any  information is good.
That said, VOTE!

Sanford or Allen are the only ones from that list that I'd even consider voting for, and only because they seem like likable guys.

Allen i think has the charisma to win. he looks a regular guy and he does have an incredible cheesy smile.

Frist, of course.   Though I can see why you spelled it "First", as he is the GOP's #1 candidate Smiley

Frist is the best candidate for all Americans.  He is a compassionate, mainstream conservative who is capable of reaching across all boundaries.

I thought the main point of the poll was to see who conservatives voters will prefer.

I voted for Santorum, but would be just as happy with Allen.

what differences are there between their veiws.  I realize people like Sanford would probably be a better candidate than Frist based upon personality, but where do they stand?  More or less how are they different?

I'd prefer Grassley for President over any of these guys, but I voted for Brownback.

Here are the "on the issues" profiles of the people in the poll.  I'd summarize them for you, but I'm too lazy right now.

Rick Santorum
Bill Frist
Mark Sanford
Sam Brownback
George Allen
