Looks about right. Rubio could probably get to 41%, but I don't see any other GOP candidate getting any closer than that.

Rubio couldn't even get 41 on an IQ test.

Makes sense. Not only has California been trending Dem the past two decades, but it's becoming more and more inelastic.

This poll is garbage, toss it in the trash. There is NO WAY that the great moderate Jeb with his Hispanic wife is losing California to that Neo Conservative war mongering corporate bitch.

The Field Poll is the gold standard of California polling (just as Ann Selzer is for Iowa). I put my absolute trust in it. Obviously, we're still about a year and half away from the election. With current demographics and the state of California politics, I think this poll is is probably quite accurate. I think Hillary will at least maintain the Obama coalition in California, which means something in the area of 60-62% statewide. I don't think any Republican candidate can even break 40% in California in 2016.

I'd tend to agree with you.

All Democrats running statewide (Brown the most noteworthy) basically didn't run general election campaigns in 2014. I think I saw one Kamels Harris ad the entire cycle. If California 2014 happened the way it did, when turnout ticks up Hillary shouldn't have a problem getting to 60%.
