Are you talking as far as them both running for President?  If that was the case, neither would win.  Both have a tiny core group of supporters and would lose on the national level to a decent third-party candidate.

Now, if this was a celebraty death match, I say Pat wins with a tricky Bible thump across the head, knocking out Teddy who lays out flat on the mat sweating alcohol.  Smiley

Titans?  Give me a break.  They're both old and stupid, and would not even consider running.  If they did, they'd both get wiped out by pretty much anybody.

This kind of thing belongs in the 'What-if' board, unless you seriously think they have a shot in 2008.

i know. i`m sorry. i`ve only just come into contact with the board. both crazy extremists that do more harm to us politics and are both responsible for the divisions in this country.

i as a democrat would be happy to get rid of kennedy but would republicans get rid of robertson.

Sorry about the harsh tone in that last post.  Those two names just get me really angry. Smiley

I know i hate them both.

they do nobody any good. they just polarise the country.

to sound harsh and cruel it wouldnt be to bad if they were both put in prison and left to die.

No, I'm not sure that's such a good idea either.  I prefer MODU's idea of a death match.  The winner gets to be stranded on a desert island in the middle of nowhere, with no contact from anybody else.  I don't care what they do from that point on, as long as they stay there and don't try to contact the outside world.

Probably for the same reasons you did just under a year ago.

Just because MissCatholic is a Democrat doesn't mean she supports NAMBLA.

Vote for Robertson.  We could always have him committed later, but if Kennedy gets elected...my God, it's too horrible to contemplate.

What does that have to do with Teddy Kennedy?  He's a mainstream moderate liberal, just like Kerry.

Yes, liberalism is the moderate political philosophy between the two exremes of right and left:

Left----------------------------Moderate----------------------Right
Socialism                          liberalism                     laissez-faire

Kennedy/Kerry are not moderates, son.

They would certainly be considered so outside the US, particularly in Europe.

Fortunately for us then we are not "worldly" like Europe.  However, if Kennedy/Kerry wish to leave the US, and seek lands where their kind of politics is mainstream, I'll buy them the plane ticket to leave.

They're mainstream for the Northeast, and just right for Massachusetts.

Maybe we can get rid of Mass then.  hehehe . . . besides, they can't be too mainstream if they have a Republican Gov.  Cheesy

Actually, feudalism would be at the far right.  And raising the minnimum wage to $15 and creating a gigantic welfare system isn't liberal, but yet socialist.

Feudalism?  What a crazy idea.  Well, I suppose in a way feudalism is a bit like corporate capitalism, but really it is more moderate.  I'd put it like this:
Left---------------------------Moderate--------------------------Right
Socialism                         liberalism              feudalism  laissez-faire

And certainly a high minimum wage and a generous welfare state is liberal.  Socialist would be to take away the property and position of the upper class in society, leaving them with nothing.

Do you guys reallly think Roberston would beat Kennedy? I know Kennedy isn't too popular with a lot of people, but ROBERTSON?

Egh, I can actually see Washington and Oregon breaking 60% for Kerry, mostly because they are the least religious states in the union.
