From WAFF.com:

Alabama continues on its bid for electoral glory with a bill that would move its primary to the first Saturday after New Hampshire clearing its committee stage. Huntsville NBC affiliate WAFF has this brief Associated Press story that says the bill has passed the state House "and now goes to the full Senate".

Alabama should be dead last. They still have a poll tax law, and only got rid of their inter-racial marriage ban law a couple of years ago.
