They are finksing infuriating. Wanting something fun to be banned while they do their not in the slightest bit fun disgusting and killing garbage. Also I bet smokers as they lean politically conservative have voted against legalization in all referendums so far making it even worse.

Tobacco is finksing trash that doesn't make you feel any cool things like other drugs. It's time to abolish this filth.

Utterly untrue. It is a well known fact that smoking cigarettes makes you look incredibly cool.

They'll get a finger wagging from Torie, so I feel sorry for them.

Because of marketing from big capitalist corporations.

Well yeah, but the same could be said of alcohol, which is far more dangerous and has mind-altering properties that nicotine lacks. You never hear of anyone getting killed by a smoker behind the wheel of a car, now do you?

But the problem here is that you want to make some kind of weird moral crusade in favor of banning tobacco while legalizing Cannabis, which is just dumb. Why try and 'rank' the recreational drugs people use? Just back off and let people use whatever drugs they want to use. What do you care if someone smokes cigarettes? I don't drink alcohol, but you don't see me posting that we should ban it and legalize crack-cocaine because crack ain't whack.

You liberal busybodies sure talk a lot about freedom but never actually advance any positions to expand it. Ban smoking! Trigger warnings on syllabuses! etc., etc., etc. No wonder the public is going to totally reject you guys next year and put the Republicans back in power. At least they'll tell you up front that they don't give a sh**t about freedom or liberty or any of that garbage. They'll shove what they want to get done right down your throat and make you like it, because they've got guts, something the liberal lacks. You're all too caught up in your own politics of self-flagellation (and trying to extend that to others by making life miserable for working people with things like higher minimum ages for cigarettes and other lifestylist garbage politics) to recognize your own ineptitude.

Second hand smoke from tobacco is pretty harmful tbh, though I think sin taxes are the way to go for that.

Marijuana doesn't even need to be smoked anyway, and it being illegal rather than legal (and all the Drug War mess that comes along with it's criminalization) is a much bigger problem than some whiny nicotine users having to pay more.

HP. I don't like both marijuana and tobacco, but I'm all for both being legal. People shouldn't be hypocritical. Luckily, not a lot of Dutch people are against marijuana legalization.

I disagree with them, but it's not really hypocritical since these are two very different substances.

They are hypocrites.  Tobacco is worse, but I'm in favor of both being legal.
