First things first, I want to thanks everyone for participating here.

This series has been too much fun covering all the past Senators since '65 that I just can't resist doing another thing like it, but I won't be doing it right away once this series ends. I do need a break after all.

It wasn't my intention to do this, I was content with just leaving it at the Top 50, but other things started to pop into my head such as

Opt 1: The Worst Senators (It'd be interesting to see how many winners here also end up being the worst, it'd be very telling about how polarizing things are. Or maybe there will be a lot of unity around one guy known for serious corruption)

Opt 2: The Second Best (Why? Because it'd be fascinating to see what Atlas comes up with for a perfect, ideal Upper chamber. We're already halfway there, so why not? There have already been a lot of tie votes too. I'd have to leave out the winners the next go around the so the final breakdown is not something CA: Wilson, Wilson)

Opt 3: Best from the first Popularly Elected to 1965 (New stream of candidates along with more states being single-party could do a lot)

Opt 4: A semi-final round (Comprising only of those here that got 50% or more by the end of the current series, I'd rather not do this personally just because that's so predictable. Nonetheless it would be interesting to see an attempt to get agreement on one. At the moment Frank Church has the most, and Cochran is the only Republican)

So yeah, fire away.

MormDem, I appreciate the effort you've made, but to be honest I barely participate in those threads so far because I'm too lazy to look up every Senator on the list. That problem would be even worse for 1914-1965. Its a little impractical for people like me, who aren't politician dictionaries.

First off, glad the feeling isn't completely not reciprocated

And second, this is exactly why I made this poll rather than jump straight in. It'd be silly to repeat the same list for different reasons if no one comes, and it'd be sad to go back and find even more obscured figures only to get the response of "Eh, who cares".

I dunno about 1901-1947, but the previous holder of that office has just about the best name ever.

Anyone forcing you to participate?
Or do you just randomly drop in and sh**t all over other peoples threads?

A simple request: cpuld you space them out a bit more? Like, at least wait for one thread to drop off the first page for a while before throwing another one in the mix? Smiley thanks
