Given that Bernie Sanders self-identifies himself as a socialist, and the socialism is growing in acceptance among-st the progressive faction. They might as well be called socialists.
Progressives would need to start advocating the abolition of capitalism to be called Socialists, and once they do, they'll no longer be progressives, as progressivism is inherently pro-capitalist.

Just because you've stumbled upon a few Berniebots doesn't mean that all progressives are socialists. We can have a capitalist economy and promote business and entrepreneurship, while at the same time, protecting consumers and workers.
Which is what Bernie advocates i.e. a capitalist economy that liberals like to refer to as a mix of socialism and capitalism because liberals are brain dead.

Tell me, what is your political ideology? You identify as Other - New York. Are you a socialist?

Generally outside of High School economic classes we can refer to 'Mixed Economy' as simply just capitalism.

No, you're wrong. There are those who believe in an unfettered or nearly unfettered capitalist economy. It is necessary to draw a distinction. I believe in prudent government intervention in the economy. I believe that we cannot allow big businesses to bully around workers and consumers in the name of economic freedom. I believe in a mixed economy.

Now this disgrace of a post is the reason I made this post. There is no such thing as a socialist who is also a liberal. That's like saying someone can be both a fascist and pro-democracy. There's no overlap. Liberalism is an inherently capitalist system. Liberals believe in making capitalism more warm and fuzzy, while socialist means abolishing it. Liberals believe in the right to private property, socialists don't. Socialism does not mean 'any government action, like you seem to think. Socialism is an economic system based on the public ownership of the means of production. Capitalism is an economic system based on private ownership of the means of production. Liberalism is a capitalist philosophy. And no, you can't have a mix of socialism and capitalism anymore than a women can be partially pregnant.

Oh good. I thought you meant something idiotic or something. Wait, no, this is even more idiotic than before, because I guess it is possible for socialists and Liberals to have similar non-economic views, despite believing in two completely different economic systems.

Anyway, my point that all progressives don't have to be socialists stands. You really shouldn't lop them into the same category.
You're right, but hilariously have no idea why. Not, all progressives are socialists, just like not all fish are birds, although most people would be more specific and say no fish are birds.

This was a very arrogant post based entirely on a matter of semantics.

Discuss Hillary's immense collapse, and bloviate about how she should drop out since she clearly has not received a mandate from the Democratic electorate. Meanwhile, discuss how Jeb is dominant and inevitable from his 19.2% of the vote.
