The numbers looked off in 2007 and 2008 as well for people identifying as voting for Kerry. Nobody wants to identify with a loser.
It's a well documented phenomena that people disassociate themselves in polls with the losing tickets they voted for by the next election.

Anything can happen. What if many black voters inspired by Obama don't show up? What if Hispanics are intrigued by Bush/Rubio's Spanish? What if Hillary cracks upon incessant questioning about the Clinton Foundation?
