Imagine this. The Democratic party splits into 3 groups, the liberals, the populists, and the libertarians. The 3 groups organize so as to not hurt each others chances of getting elected. San Francisco would obviously just have liberals, West Virginia would mainly be populists, and New Hampshire would probably run a lot of libertarianss.
The libertarians would be left leaning liberals (like bullmoose) who would be liberal on social issues and not completely right-wing on economic issues. The populists would be left leaning populists (like Al) who would be liberal on economic issues and not completely right-wing on social issues.
How would this Democratic caucus fare?
