He still has support up here but a lot of people that voted for him before won't now. Teachers don't like him too much either for cutting education. I'm voting against him, what party depends on the candidates!

From what I have read he's done a lot for the state.

* Inherited a $3.2 billion deficit, Wisconsin's largest ever. Balanced the budget while holding the line on taxes.

* State taxes as a percentage of income are now the lowest in 34 years.

* Started initiative in Wisconsin to order prescription drugs from Canada in direct defiance of the FDA.

*$375 million in new money for biotechnology, health sciences, and stem cell research.

Why hasn't he caught on?

The gay marriage veto?  Carry bill veto?

Extremely creepy Mark Nuemann almost beat Feingold. That's good in my book.

Congressman Green seems to be the most serious GOP candidate. I thought that he could beat Doyle but with the suggestion that Doyle would even beat Thompson at this point, I guess I better reconsider my opinion.

There's a guy in my area that has a chance to get it. I really can't think of his name right now though. If I think of it I'll post it.

Is it Walker or something?  I know some Milwaukee county official is running in the Republican primary.

I thought Doyle had some corruption-related baggage or something and was somewhat slimy....but if the badger staters are saying otherwise, great!

But I'm hearing the Dem AG Peggy Laucheslager (sp?) is a goner after her drunk-driving incedent, not to mention, that unfortuate Dean endorsement....

I'm also interested in the Dem potential for the open seat of Rep. Green (WI-08).  It seems to be a fairly conservative district, but the Dems already have some businessman running and if 2006 is a Dem year and if the Republicans nominate some of the wackos I've been hearing are under consideration....it could be a possible Dem pickup, eh?
