An absurdly prematrure consideration...
The Vice President) Presumably Hillary Clinton is going to pick someone younger for her running mate. Any veep under 70 in 2024 will want to run, and will have some insitutional support, especially without a milestone as major as first African American President/ first female President to compete with.
Julian Castro) Most prominent Hispanic Democrat. Will be 50 in 2024. Very likely to have a spot in the Clinton cabinet.
Cory Booker) Media-savvy Senator.
Kamala Harris) Her focus on being smart on crime rather than tough on crime is prescient, and attractive to Democrats.
Gavin Newsom) Likely to be a reelected big state Governor.
