La Sociedad de la Libertad
(English: the Liberty Society--I think)
LSL is a non-partisan group of broadly pro-liberty citizens in South America.
We generally believe that:
- Individual liberty is vastly important, and everyone has the right to live how they want, as long as they aren't harming others, with minimal intervention from the government.
- Freedom of speech, dissenting opinion, the press, religion/lack thereof, the ability to protest the government, a fair trial, and privacy are all rights that the government cannot infringe upon.
- The government should have no more than a minimal influence over the economy.
- War, if ever done, is for defense purposes only, not imperialism.
- No one person or office should have too much power, nor should any voice be shut out by the government.
Any suggestions are welcome--as I put this together quickly, it could probably do with hefty revision.
