It shouldn't be surprising, Walker is unknown in the south, its his balance to his over-peformance in the Midwest.

And Sanders has to make major inroads with black voters if he wants to win any southern states, as it'll be nearly impossible to win southern white Dems against Hillary.

I don't know if this is breaking news, but Alabama has very few white Democrats left.

I was more so talking about the broader south. But in Alabama, according to Adam's map of the Obama coalition, white voters were 25% of Obama's votes, and its probably more than that in primary elections, so they still do count.

Clinton will win the nomination. Black voters and white women will give her the nomination AND a victory in the general election. 2016 = The most predictable election ever

Sanders is going to perform awfully in the deep south because he has very little black support in general and the white people down there aren't the type who would ever be inclined to vote for him either.

...

There really isn't any better way to say that. Honestly, it's a bit pathetic. At least NH is better news for Sanders.

I'm surprised Trump is polling this well in the south. I wouldn't expect him to have any appeal in Alabama of all places.

Sanders is perfect for NH, especially early on, he's an insurgent, from a neighbouring state...
