Walker fading
This is the first IA poll (from any pollster) in 2015 where Walker was below 10% and not in first or second. One reason is that he is at only 4% with women. Could his defense of no exception for the life of the mother in banning abortion be hurting him?

Trump's Gender Gap
Speaking of gender gaps, Trump has a big one. Men:27% / Women 15%. Carson actually leads amongst women with 20%. Could this be the Megyn Kelly effect?

While the forces of enlightenment may be gaining strength in New Hampshire, it seems the barbarian reigns supreme in Iowa.

Trump+Carson+Cruz: 44%
Walker+Bush+Rubio+Kasich+Christie+Graham: 26%

The Republican Party has no one to blame but themselves for pandering to the extreme making these candidates acceptable.

Who leads among...?

men: Trump
women: Carson
under age 50: Trump
age 50-64: Trump
age 65+: Carson

Trump also does better among those making under $50k, and those who never attended college (both of these are consistent with every other poll).

Also, Fiorina is at 11% among women, but just 4% among men.

Finally, a plurality of Republican voters in Iowa think Trump has the best chance of winning the general election:

Trump 22%
Bush 16%
Walker 11%
Rubio 9%
Cruz 7%
Carson 5%

Who would best handle the economy:

Trump: 37%
Fiorina: 10%
Walker: 8%

Who would best handle immigration:
Trump: 35%
Cruz: 12%
Rubio: 11%
Perry: 10%

Is most likely to change the way things work in Washington:
Trump: 44%!!!
Carson: 9%
Fiorina: 8%

21% most trust Trump with terrorism (he's in 1st), 12% on representing Republican views (in 2nd behind Carson), 7% on Abortion (behind Carson and Huckabee, tied with Bush).

No, I'm patient. If in an alternative universe, it's Trump versus Hillary, I guess I should start looking at third party candidates. Heck, that pair makes even Al Gore start looking good to me. And that's saying something.
