Ugh - being in the south central region of Illinois, I get all of the news stations out of St. Louis.

And honestly, I'll be glad when November 7 comes around so that their stupid ads can stop playing.

I already know that Japheth Campbell will win the Libertarian primary, but he'll likely at least get the 2% required to retain major party status in Missouri.

As far as McCaskill's re-election bid as a Democrat and all of the GOP options, it's dumpster fire-level garbage. As they always say, if you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.

Missouri's voters lose either way.

Welcome to the club. I live in Florida, so naturally it's non-stop almost every election year.

I just calculated this:

Apparently even if one takes the following Counties out of calculation:

St. Louis City
Jackson
St. Louis
Boone

(basically all the Counties in the state Obama won in 2012)

McCaskill still won the remainder by 10,227 votes in 2012.

Lol

ehh...

If she loses, it wont be because her husband gets federal subsidies.

Edit: I dislike these types of scandals. No clear impropriety, just something that may look bad.

Claire is the most endangered Senator; however, the Dems does have an extra vote to spare with TN. Right now, MO, TN, ND and IN hinge on Senate control

Wow great hit piece:

There’s no evidence that McCaskill played any part in directing federal funds to businesses affiliated with her husband.

The senator does not sit on committees that oversee the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development or the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the agencies that award affordable housing contracts and loans to developers and pay out the subsidies.

She has voted for some massive government spending bills that would have benefited affordable housing programs, but she also voted against others...

Shepard’s investment in affordable housing projects dates back to the 1970s, long predating his relationship with McCaskill, who he married in 2002.

This race is a very much a tossup, I wouldnt underestimate corruption in the state of MO even if McCaskill is indirectly related to this. Geraldine Ferraro's husband was tied to the samething and she was unfairly targeted by Reagan. Since, Grietans scandal, corruption is a bad place in MO. Heidi and or McCaskill can lose

Why do you think that?
Hawley has run a completely milquetoast, feeble campaign, Greitens was still popular with the GOP base who may feel Hawley betrayed him, and Sykes is exactly the type of personality that appeals to GOP primary voters. The complete dearth of polling for the primary as well means we have no idea how the race actually looks. Sykes probably won't atcually win but I expect him to do way better than anyone expects

Voters are gonna vote for the most ethically best Congress out there and Dems can lose people like Claire. As long as one or both Houses flip, which it has done with Bill Clinton, Dubya and Obama, in preparation for impeachment and a Dem prez in 2020

Me too, I barely even check my email unless I'm expecting something important. Politicians need to go back to communicating via carrier pigeon.

Galloway will outperform McCaskill in places in St Charles County and West County St. Louis.

But interestingly I am betting in historically Democratic but now uber GOP counties that McCaskill may out perform Galloway by a little bit.

I shall be voting all Democratic this year. The last Missouri Republican I supported was Rick Stream in 2014 due to circumstances.

Fwiw, my Trump supporting parents are voting for Hawley, even though they don’t like him, but are going to vote for Nicole Galloway (Democratic Auditor) in November because they think the one-party rule in Jefferson City is a sh**t show and they like what she’s doing with the county government audits and whatnot.

What do they have against McCaskill?
