The right to protest is a fundamental one. If this government caves into pressure from reactionary elements and uses force against the demonstrators then it will be a black day for democracy, for civil society and for the rule of law.

Mr. Speaker,

This is formal notification that I resign my seat in this parliament effective immediately. The state of relations between Atlasia and South America is at a low lever, and my loyalty is to Atlasia first, and not South America. As such, I don't feel that the state of affairs is correct. It's been an honor to serve with you, and I will have fond memories of our time together.

Yours,

Rpryor03 MP

The first of many reactionary buffoons to fall by the wayside. Good riddance!

I inform the House that I have received the resignation of Mr. Rpryor from the Parliament.

I thank Mr. Rpryor for his service to the House and his time as a member of public life and service.

According to the Resolving Procedural Issues Act, I am tasked with seating the new Member to replace the vacant seat.

I hereby declare Mr. Nhoj as a new Member of the Parliament of South America.

I'd like to second the South American Common Market Act, or the SACMA for short, because it is a truly excellent bill that will bring cohesion to our country.
