I, as Minister of Infrastructure, am establishing an official committee to select and plan our capital city and plan new facilities where necessary. We shall issue a White Paper  at the end of our duties making recommendations.

The Committee shall have four or six members appointed by the minister, three or four of which shall be non members of Parliament. I have already reserved one seat for one individual I shall contact. The Minister shall chair the committee. Interested persons shall apply below.

I suggest we look at the city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra. I don't know about the conditions in the ground, but it has a truly magnificent plan. We wouldn't need to do any work! Tongue (Or at least that much in terms of spatial planning)

That outer circle is nearly 8 km in diameter. The innermost one is 2 km in diameter-- twice that of the Vienna Ringstrasse. This allows us to work with a virtually ideal layout-- think about it, almost all ideal city plans have been circular--while not having to overly tear up the city.

Is the minister going to go forward with this?

Indeed. The composition will be announced by the end of this week.

The end of the week has to my knowledge already elapsed. I would really like to see some substantial results out of this very interesting project, so you really should this get going, Simfan.

I am waiting for responses.

Unless any other members of the committee have objections, I will assume consensus regarding the selection of Santa Cruz de la Sierra as the new capital. Pending affirmation of this, we will proceed to discuss the general nature of improvements to the city, what accommodations will need to be made for use as the seat of government, and perhaps the desired nature of the urban pattern.
