Since this is now a possibility, because that's the world we live in.

I would pretty easily vote for President Donald Trump in this scenario because I don't care for Kanye West on a personal level and never liked his music.

Kanye, unless Trump gets single-payer passed, in which case my support goes to the Republican candidate for the first time in 64 years.

Kanye West is a personal hero despite my distaste for his musical stylings. I'd have to see how the election shapes up tbh... lean Trump for now, but I'd have to see what kind of diplomacy West lays out for America. Very tough to beat Trump in that category.

I would stop by the polls to vote for the Libertarians (the only third party that has a prayer of winning Indiana) on my way to Canada.

Lol no, but if I was Eisenhower '56 would have been the last time I voted Republican for president.

I'm actually curious what makes Kanye a personal hero to you.

I think that after four years of President Trump, I along with the majority of Americans will gladly vote for anyone else, including Kanye West.

Basically this. I'd also heavily support a Justin Amash (or perhaps Rand Paul) primary challenge.

But they will have ended their marriage by then.

The Democratic nominee--be it Sanders, Clinton, O'Malley, Chafee, Webb, or anyone else--will almost certainly win the 2016 election, making this question moot. Kanye West is a joke, and even if he does develop some kind of policy platform over the next five years, unless President Sanders/Clinton/O'Malley etc. does something truly embarrassing or terrible, there is no room for a primary challenger to an incumbent President. Does anyone remember when pro-life activist Randall Terry challenged President Obama for the Democratic nomination in 2012? It was damn close, but he didn't ultimately succeed.

I don't think Kanye would be a very good president, but I'd obviously vote for him here.
