There's a tape that the NYT has that includes TRUMP on record saying he doesn't even believe the things he says about immigration...

It's funny how the TRUMP haters simultaneously believe that he's literally Hitler and that he doesn't believe his own positions.  Inb4 desperate dog sweat and general low energy hysteria.

What politician does? At least he isn't a coward and attacks the schmucks who run/ruin this country.

He has a rush of adrenalin and with his autocratic self importance, anything can come out.

There are some very childish elements to his answers, but he is a marketing guy, so he needs to be consistently grabbing your attention.

But his confidence and dismissive nature to the establishment are what is making him popular.

He wants the home page of every news site to have TRUMP in capital letters blazened across the top.

He associates that press with success, regardless of content.

I dont think the guy is dumb, but he will need to tighten up the 'loose lips' soon, otherwise he will have a legacy of issues that come back to sting him in the tail.

CNN has an article "Google will be his downfall".

If he is 90% there, why does he have to still make stupid comments?

Why is anyone shocked? The guy's whole thing is about self-promo, not ideology. He'll throw the GOP base under the bus once he gets the nomination.

People are in a personality cult, but they don't realize it.  I will never truly support Trump- I might vote for him in the general, I might even campaign for him in the general, but it would be more of an anti-Clinton thing for me than supporting someone like Trump.

If you read the article, it doesn't actually say he's lying about being anti-immigration. It just says he's exaggerating his position so that when he has to compromise with congress later on, the compromise will be closer to his real position. You know, like Obama should have done with healthcare.

He's had almost the exact same ideas and rhetoric on things like economics, tax policy, and trade policy for nearly 30 years, he's just amped up the xenophobia and downplayed his more liberal positions on things like single-payer to appeal to the GOP in 2016.

Look up the interviews from the 1980s. He has more or less stayed the same for a long time, with just different packaging; it was just a matter of a big part of this country (WWC) coming around to him after the annihilation of several million manufacturing jobs from 2001 - 2010 and the aftermath of the Great Recession.

Seems pretty obvious. After all, Trump said Romney's call for self deportation last time was too harsh.

Hillary vs Trump would become an election on personalities since neither would have any qualms about changing positions. Hillary has a long history of flip flopping and Trump doesn't have any record to compare against.

How can he? He is always saying he doesn't know anything. If he doesn't know anything it follows logically that he doesn't believe anything.
