The Workers Party is opposed to this blatant anti-communist garbage, and hails the heroic efforts of the FARC against the bourgeois government of the Tory Party and it's liberal toadies. While we obviously condemn individual terrorism and the boneheaded tactics employed by the FARC, we nevertheless defend it against this government, and against all capitalist governments which seek to eliminate it and all leftist groups that seek to move beyond capitalism.

I do not think there will be any objections to moving this to a division a few hours early.

The question is that the motion be agreed to.  Division!

Mr. Speaker,

I move to extend voting on this motion another 24 hours to guarantee that all members have the opportunity to cast their vote, regardless of time differences. It would be a shame if the entire Socialist Party missed this vote. Their voters, though I may disagree with them, have a right to be heard and the right honorable members are here to be their voice.

An odd line of attack given that this a purely symbolic motion. I myself dislike student union politics.

Abstain.

Is leave granted?

(Just look at Standing Orders if anyone has a question about this; basically, any Member can object within 12 hours thereby not granting leave.)

Echoing Mr. Sibboleth's comments, such a pointless, purely symbolic motion is hardly worth the time it occupies on the house floor, but since the honourable Prime Minister seems to insist so heavily on our votes to be cast...

Leave is granted.

The division will be extended for a further twenty-four hours from when it was originally scheduled to end.

The decision to extend the voting period is a political stunt by the Prime Minister to focus on his utterly useless waste of time of a motion. Three quarters of Socialist MPs voted within the original allotted time period, the exact same percentage as the amount of Conservatives who showed up to vote. Why such a big deal being made out of this motion out of all things? It has no important ramifications.

Yes this is absurd. And it isn't even as if we needed any further evidence that the Prime Minister is a swaggering puff-chested buffoon with a grossly inflated sense of self worth.
