This was easily foreseeable and avoidable.

A bad-behaved boy was about to receive his spanking and decided to ran off, that's why.

I'm not entirely convinced if the best way of responding to concerns that you are acting more like a member of another party to that which you are a member of (and was elected to represent) is to promptly defect to said other party, but its your career...

TBH he should have just joined the Workers' Party in the first place.

I formed the Socialists before the Workers' party was formed.

Ah, gotcha. My mistake, I wasn't familiar with the timeline of events.

Glad to see you joining us comrade - the bourgeois Socialist Party is quickly unraveling. The people understand that the Worker's are the only legitimate option for those on the left.

It's not like you guys had no prior warning or anything...

Given Murica's stated willingness to desert the Socialist Party after the election, I motion to expel him from the party.
I didn't state that I will, just that it's a possibility if the party continues on it's right wing social-democratic path.

Oh we aren't shocked by this development at all. Mostly we're just amused.

If Murica, a self-described anarchist, is so unhappy with the platform of the Socialist Party, who is to say he will do well obeying the platform of a communist party? As long as he is willing to destroy his career and defy election results, that is his prerogative, but it doesn't reflect well on him. No huge loss on our part though.
