What a nothing story. You mean if Trump doesn't win he'll just go back to real estate? Shocker.

I hear if Cruz doesn't win he'll go back to being a Senator from Texas, too!

He doesn't want to be the nominee.  This is him setting up to drop out at the first sign of hardship.  He's already gotten what he wants, the Donald is the biggest celebrity in America now.

The issue isn't his plan to go back to real estate, it is what will trigger the return. This quote to NBC is kind of telling..

Note he doesn't say "if I lose." I think it is very possible that if Trump drops in the polls and is getting bad press and his crowd sizes start shrinking he would rather quit than face a grueling fight and prospect of actually losing in IA and NH. His ego could not handle an actual quantifiable loss, he would rather pull out and say he has better things to do and the establishment conspiracy is preventing him from saving America from within politics so he will do it from Trump Tower using his awesome business.

I had that thought.  I also think that Trump's got a full-fledged case of Potomac Fever now.  He's in "the game" now, and I suspect he LOVES it.  I guess we'll see.

Trump's back-up plan is to support socialized medicine again and back a tax plan based on the politics of class warfare.

This & this. He got in to have some fun and will quit as soon as it stops being fun.
