Note he doesn't say "if I lose." I think it is very possible that if Trump drops in the polls and is getting bad press and his crowd sizes start shrinking he would rather quit than face a grueling fight and prospect of actually losing in IA and NH. His ego could not handle an actual quantifiable loss, he would rather pull out and say he has better things to do and the establishment conspiracy is preventing him from saving America from within politics so he will do it from Trump Tower using his awesome business.
