It might help him in Iowa, he's polling in 6th with about 6% support so he maybe trying to get evangelicals to support him.

Are we now pretending that young men feeling so alienated from society that they become spree killers is not an issue with broad cultural implications?

Not everything can be boiled down to guns being too plentiful and antipsychotic medication not being plentiful enough.

Cultural decay, lack of family , companionship and morality not faith cause people to have problems in their life leading them to do irrational things such as shoot innocent people, it's not a wrong statement. However if we had increased gun control we could get these people not to to have a gun to commit theshooting, provide them rehabilitation and to give them a better them with therapies.

Considering that there is literally no other rational cause, yes.

Not any more than it already was. Jindal is just desperate for some (any) coverage.

I don't disagree with his "family" claim. The American family has deteriorated.  Look at the number of children living in "broken" households and where they aren't taught how to be respectable men/women.  Then, add in the number of children growing up at or below the line.

Lastly, add in the number of children growing up in households where mom/dad quite frankly "can't be bothered being parents".  You hear more and more of this (and see it) everyday.

This is one of the end results of that.

Not if they don't have access to guns.
