Wouldn't it be funny if Carson started talking about all the polls where he was leading. He wouldn't need to mention Trump by name but it could send the Donald into frenzy.

I...saw a poll the...other day out of North...Carolina. Do you know what it...showed? I think...Elon did...I don't know if it's Elon Musk, but...Elon has me up...by 12...points.

The changes from Elon's last NC poll (in late September, it found Carson and Trump in a statistical tie).
Carson: +10
Trump: -3
Rubio: +3 (SURGING!)
Cruz: +4
Bush: -2
Fiorina: -6

The Democratic numbers are basically identical to PPP's recent NC poll.  They have Carson and Trump practically switched, though.  PPP has Trump at 31 and Carson at 26.  I'm more inclined to believe PPP tbh.

I imagine North Carolina would be one of Carson's best states after Maryland. It has a large black population and a large college-age and college-educated population. Those are the demographics that have been giving Carson the strongest backing in crosstabs.

And Carson continue to topple Trump's states one at a time.
It would be interesting to see how long Carson stay up on top.

With statements he keeps making, he's not going to win NH or FL or even a southern state like SC. He can win Iowa, but that's a pure tossup.

Carson isnt Rubio or Jeb or Kasich or Rubio that top political donors are rallying behind which is RUBIO.

Either Trump dropped 13 points and Carson gained 8 in a week since the PPP poll, or one of these two polls is an outlier. Anyone want to bet which one?
