Sounds like a Ben Carson lie tbh. Is this kid running in the Republican primaries? Did he get $10 for not denying God?

I can't help but wonder what the reaction among many of the defenders of this act had been if it had been a Hindu who had been given this choice with Shiva and made a case out of it, or how the reaction had been if this story was from Europe and the child were a Muslim.

Through I will also say that from what I read, it seem more a badly thought out execise than ill will toward religious people.

Being a white Christian in a white Christian country leaves you with a very underdeveloped understanding of persecuted minorities.  What I'm trying to say is there is no war on Christianity in the United States.  If white Christians in a Texas suburb are persecuted what do you call what happens every day to black people regardless of faith?

really it depends on what definition of "fact" is being used, though, doesn't it?

Yes, and learning the definition of "fact" was part of the lesson.
