Carson was the top choice among self-identified Republicans, with 33 percent of responses, followed by “Don’t know” with 29 percent and Trump with 22 percent.

Clinton led among Democrats, with 44 percent naming her, followed by “Don’t know” with 25 percent and Sanders with 16 percent.

Among independents who did not identify with either of the two major political parties, the most frequent response was “Don’t know” (38 percent.) Carson was the choice of 16 percent of independents, while Clinton and Trump were named by 12 percent each.

Among all RV, Carson has the best favorable ratings (51-23), while Bush (24-50, !!!), Sanders (19-52) and Hillary (26-63) have the worst.

Including "don't know" as an option is stupid.

It's just another way of saying undecided. And you'll never get a sample that is 100% decided. America /=/ Atlas.

Carson has, damaged himself with liberal press. But, not with R voters, if he is nominated, polls are now showing small Clinton leads against him, since, scandal.

Who ever predicted she would?

SUSA and Mark Halperin. Wink
Seriously though, the only two questions for 2016 will be whether TN votes to the right of KY (hasn't happened since 1988) and whether the Republican candidate breaks 60% or not (hasn't happened since 1972). Right now, I'd say yes to both. Keep in mind that TN was the only Southern state in 84 which gave Reagan <60% of the vote.
And OC.
