Biden, Crist, Davis, Nixon, Schweitzer, and Clark will never be on a national ticket (or another national ticket, in Biden's case).
Solis, Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, and maybe Elizabeth Warren could be good picks for another candidate, but I'm pretty sure that Clinton will not pick a female running mate. I agree that Solis checks a lot of boxes, but it would also be pretty weird to pick a sitting county official as the VP.
For Clinton, I'd like a sub-50 liberalish Congressman, one of the Virginians, or a Latino such as Ken Salazar or Xavier Becerra. Tim Ryan of Ohio could also make a lot of sense now that he's pro-choice. People talk a lot about Julian Castro, but Joaquin Castro will have been in Congress for four years by 2017 and will have a resume that looks fairly similar (though not quite as good) to that of Rubio.
