My thoughts...

Hilda Solis- A former cabinet member who isn't particularly well known.

Wendy Davis- I'd love it, but it's never going to happen.

Julian Castro- They've been building a running mate with the keynote speech, and cabinet post.

John Hickenlooper- I don't think a sixty-something recently divorced Governor is making the final cut.

Martin O'Malley- Too many alternatives. He came from a very liberal state, and has a Republican successor.

Jay Nixon- Hasn't exactly handled the national spotlight well with Ferguson.

Brian Schweitzer- Didn't get great publicity in 2013/ 2014.

Evan Bayh- He's likely to be in contention, but I think he's too bland, as well as a a figure of the past.

Charlie Crist- I don't see a congressional candidate being elevated to running mate, even if he was a former Governor.

Joe Biden- The only guy in his seventies I could see being picked. Widely known. Gives a message to the public that could be useful if Obama's popular. Encourages Democrats to suck up so they could get selected in 2020.

Tom Vilsack- Old.

Wesley Clark- Old. Recently divorced. Had an awkward time as a 2004 candidate/ 2008 surrogate.

Martin Heinrich- A young western Senator fits the running mate profile.

Mark Warner- Immediately plausible resume.

Tim Kaine- Great resume. And he's been learning up on foreign policy. Slightly younger than Warner, and fluent in Spanish.

Left off the list (odd for a list with Wendy Davis and Jay Nixon)...

Michael Bennet- Senator from key swing state with policy expertise on education.

Cory Booker- Young media savvy Senator.

Xavier Becerra- A western Latino in congressional leadership.

Terry McAuliffe- A good friend of hers became a swing state Governor.

Steve Bullock- Young western Governor.

I think Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) could potentially be a good choice. Anyone else?
There's a shot.

He's been on the Clinton's radar, although they were worried that he might run for President himself.

He's young and progressive, so he could help with the base.

And he's become a leader in the party on foreign policy.
