Yes, of these clowns we've reached the point where Christie is the least objectionable. That's pretty telling of the sad state of affairs in the GOP at the moment.

We could have Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Teddy Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln on stage, and people on this forum would still call it a "clown car".

Reagan and Bush, yes. Both horrible leaders. Roosevelt and Lincoln, no. They were great presidents.

Cruz, there are so many Cruz supporters here now, I remember a few months ago when I was the only one Smiley

I don't see Pataki as an option. Where is Pataki?

Not a Republican (normal).

But I'd like to see a Sanders vs. Kasich or Sanders vs. Rubio election.

Yeah, NO one would be calling TR a war mongerer or Lincoln a corporate sellout.

When you have people like Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, and Mike Huckabee on stage, they taint everyone else whether you like it or not. Same thing happened in 2012 to Romney as a result of Santorum. I think there's a pretty legitimate argument to be made that Donald Trump has already lost this election for the GOP. Then when you consider the incompetence of all the sane candidates like Jeb and Kasich and Rubio, it becomes clear that there's not an effective president among them... except, maybe, Christie, who's still a bully and still basically has zero chance.

And I will reiterate again that I think we have reached a point where it is clearly objectionable to still support Trump, regardless of whatever "point" there is to prove. We've got a candidate who is basically supporting Japanese internment. It's reprehensible to have any part enabling that, and I'm not sorry to call it out.

He's not his Dad.  I'd vote for RON Paul in a minute.  It's like the difference between Billy Graham and Franklin Graham; the son can never quite replace the father.

Has anyone else pointed out the obvious (that there are 100 votes cast and only 18 of them are "Not a Republican" - on Atlas Forum)? I mean, I know this place has drifted to the right, but...

LOL, poor Naso - can't even get a fair sample without being trolled!

My guess is that a similar poll about the Democratic race would also have a small number voting "Not a Democrat".  OK, maybe not quite as small, just because there are so few Dem. candidates to choose from.

No, you couldn't have them on stage. The xenophobic, pseudo-religious bigots who make up too much the party would riot and burn down the building before letting such a bunch of "liberals" on stage.

Not in the GOP but if I was, I'd go with Pataki or Graham.

Well, um that's awkward... Kasich?

Probably Kasich, just because I would prefer that both parties nominate people who are capable of basic competence in governing. Gilmore might not be bad either, he seems to have had a decent record in Virginia. I would have said Christie before Bridgegate.

I am currently supporting Christie, but I am bothered by his insistence on a no fly zone in Syria. I could be persuaded to vote for someone else. I just don't know who

Marco Rubio is a smarmy parrot that's just rattling off right-wing talking points. He absolutely wreaks of Washington. As a kicker, his tax plan is moralistic, diluted nonsense.

Ted Cruz's VAT is a huge deal breaker if the evangelical pandering wasn't enough.

I'll probably vote for Trump if Christie drops out before March 1st.

I'd be happy if the Republican party just got back to being the party of Gerald Ford, Prescott Bush, George Romney, and Dwight Eisenhower. It would be so nice to actually have two parties capable of competent governance, even though I would still likely disagree with Republicans on some of their policy positions.

I like Rand Paul the best.

I'm not sure Rand will be running by the time FL votes.  I've half a mind to vote for Donald Trump to stick it to the GOP Establishment.  I suppose if Rand has dropped out, I'll vote for Ted, as the Establishment will then be stuck with him.

Would be Trump if gun was placed at my head, Kasich for tactical purposes,  however NAR is more correct.

You wouldn't pull a Ben Carson and say "No, point the gun at that guy over there"?
