Hi everyone,

Griffin has nominated me to become the new Registrar General, however it still needs approval from the Senate. I have produced an updated voter list, so that we can have something that can be used for the upcoming elections and it will enable a smooth transition into the role (if the Senate approve me).

I believe that 22 people fell off of the voter list, following the Senate election last month, and an additional six people de-registered. All of these people appear under the "Banned" tab.

If you see anything incorrect, feel free to mention it.

We've lost twenty-three people since the last update? Are you kidding me?

Also, I'm pretty sure I'll need to pardon you after you are confirmed, based on the supposedly valid court case that was filed against me for performing the duties of an RG while "supposedly" not being in the position. Wink

It looks likely that it's going to fall further - as there are about another twenty who will be removed, if they don't vote in the upcoming Presidential election.

Thank you Smiley

It's because we've had a Federal election since the last update; about 80% of those who have been de-registered didn't take part in a Federal election for six months.

Haha. Thought I might as well start when I got nominated - as most of the Senate appears to be on "pseudo-leave" at the moment, so it could take some time for there to be Confirmation Hearing. Wink  Tongue

Oh dear. Well, good work, I must say, although it certainly can't be fun.

To get it started, it took a bit of time - as it was a long time since the Census being updated, there was a Federal election and there had been a few registration changes/de-registrations. Hopefully, now that it's been set up, it won't be too difficult and time-consuming to maintain. Smiley

For some reason, I can't access the voter rolls (the file just keeps loading into infinity). Could someone post a screen shot of the list?

Good job, Clyde!

From a political analysis standpoint, it's fascinating how close we've moved to a two-party system.

Safari. I tried Chrome as well and that didn't work either.

From what I can see in the picture you posted, it looks good (Duke is an Independent, but that's the only mistake I see). Thanks for getting straight to work on this - hopefully my colleagues will move quickly to confirm your nomination.

I agree. All of us in the Senate are ready to confirm Clyde as RG. We're just waiting for VP Duke to open the confirmation thread.

I'll wait until tomorrow.
If Duke will not log in, I'll open the Confirmation thread.

It's just infinitely loading? I'm using Chrome and it works. I'm not 100% sure what's causing the problem.

I'll update that in the next update. Smiley

Clyde, you should be aware that being deregistered for missing elections is not treated the same way as deregistering yourself via the "New Register Thread". There is no two month waiting period if you fall off the rolls for missing 3 consecutive elections...

Okay. I'll correct that when I do my next update of the Census, which will probably be tomorrow. Smiley

In the next update, The People's Party will no longer be a federally recognised party - as it's set to fall below the five member threshold.

The wiki has a constitutional amendment stating it is three members. I think some wanted to change it but I don't remember if it succeeded.

I was working with the whole Constitution on the wiki, which hasn't been updated, where the Article V page has been updated. Huh

So The People's Party will remain a major party for now, then.
