The issue is not whether these groups poll IA, etc. The question is who pays. Polls are rarely done for free and pollsters are not in the business of giving away their data without pay. Polls are usually either conducted for a candidate or a media outlet. That's why you often see a pairing of news organizations and polling firms like YouGov/Economist or NBC/SurveyMonkey.

If you want more polls of individual states, don't bug the pollsters. Tune into segments on cable and read subscription articles that feature new polling data. The companies will spend where the public interest lies.
