Compared to past presidential caucuses in Iowa, how would you describe your level of enthusiasm about attending this year's presidential caucus on February first; are you more enthusiastic than usual, less enthusiastic, or about the same as usual?

Sanders-voters: 47% MORE, 10% less, 41% same
Clinton-voters: 25% more, 13% less, 61% SAME

...

Favorable Ratings:

87-03 Sanders
74-21 Clinton

Bernie's favorables among women: 84%, to Hillary's 82%.

But the shocker comes among men, where he's above 90% and Hillary barely breaks 60% ...

The Obama-coalition that once defeated Hillary is now reassembling just at the right time to re-defeat her and STOP her from grabbing power. That is what happens.

People are starting to pay attention more, and are realizing that Clinton is an untrustworthy flip-flopper who has no real convictions, feels entitled to the office, and doesn't care about the needs and wants of commoners.

Yes, but that only works in a places like Iowa and NH.  In states which a large AA voting bloc in the Dem primary, a major part of the Obama coalition of 2008 will go with Hillary.  I do not see how they will swing behind Sanders even if he sweeps Iowa and NH.

If Bernie wins IA and NH - everything is possible.

Even Blaxicasians will realize that backing a fraud like Hillary won't do them any favour and switch over to the man of the working people.

I have the same question to do. It's pretty strange that while the race was stable after October suddenly during the Christmas vacation, when literally nothing happened, Sanders started to surge.
Can someone give a SERIOUS, non-hackish explanation about that?
Thanks.

If anything could get suburban moderates voting for TRUMP, it's Bernie "let's raise spending and taxes by $18 trillion" Sanders. GREAT news!

I think one explanation has to be : men realized they were on the verge of having a woman as their President, and they find this unnerving. Patriarchy's not dead before a while.

Very true. I'd wager at least 50% of Sanders support is explained by sexism. If Clinton were a man she'd be winning easily right now.

Many of the strategists behind Sanders' campaign team are young people who've come out of the Occupy movement. They've tried to emulate the grassroots, horizontal spread of Occupy by encouraging as much popular involvement in the campaign as possible, from their intensive online presence to their debate watch parties and other in-person meetings. So there has been organic pro-Sanders growth, much of it outside of the control of the campaign itself. That strategy has some drawbacks, namely a lack of messaging control (it was independent activists that came up with the ridiculous "feel the Bern" slogan back in May, not the Sanders campaign). However, it seems to have been quite successful at generating widespread excitement for his candidacy.
