Ohio Governor John Kasich wins the Republican nomination and chooses former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich to be his running mate. They face off against a Democratic ticket composed of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and HUD Secretary Julian Castro. Who wins? Discuss with maps.

322: Kasich/Gingrich(51.4%)
216: Clinton/Castro(46.5%)

Gingrich helps turnout in Iowa, Virginia, and Florida for the Republicans. He manages to reform his image into that of a tough intellectual, mainly used to target mistakes made by the other side. Clinton fails to turnout her base, and Castro is mainly used alongside her rather than in more Hispanic states.
